Salad

Florence was my colleague during my internship at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and I am very glad to have met her. She taught me French and introduced me to French culture; I taught her Chinese and shared parts of Chinese culture with her. We found that many human things are shared across languages and cultures: care, longing, empathy, and, of course, the desire to eat salad together in summer.
