Two Cows

Every Saturday morning, I go for a walk around Botersnijdersven in Nijmegen. Over time, I have become acquainted with these two cows.

Our relationship is relatively simple: we look at each other for about twenty minutes, and then they return to eating grass.

I often wonder how they process information. Their eyes stay so still — not looking forward, not looking back — as if they are quietly receiving the world without needing to react to it immediately.
